The Experience
Two very different mountains in one trip — Darjeeling's slow colonial mornings among tea gardens, then North Sikkim's raw, high-altitude wild, with a 5 a.m. sunrise and a sacred lake at 17,800 ft along the way.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Transfer to Darjeeling
Arrive at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and transfer to Darjeeling (70 km). Check in, settle into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening in the hills.
Day 2 – Darjeeling Sunrise & Transfer to Gangtok
Start around 5 a.m. for Tiger Hill and sunrise over the Kanchenjunga range. On the way back, stop at the Batasia Loop and Dali Monastery, then continue to Gangtok (approximately 97 km) for the night.
Day 3 – Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir
Visit the sacred Tsomgo Lake (12,300 ft) and Baba Mandir (13,200 ft), located approximately 37 km and 56 km from Gangtok. If the lake is closed, Banjhakri Falls, Ganesh Tok and Tashi View Point are arranged instead. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 4 – Gangtok to Lachen
Begin a roughly 7-hour, 125 km drive to Lachen (8,500 ft), the gateway to Gurudongmar Lake. The route passes through Singhik View Point, Seven Sister Falls, Naga Falls, Bhim Nala, Mangan and Chungthang. Dinner and overnight in Lachen.
Day 5 – Gurudongmar Lake to Lachung
Start early via Thangu village to the sacred Gurudongmar Lake, revered by Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs alike. Return to Lachen for lunch, then drive to Lachung (8,075 ft) via the Chungthang confluence and Vimnala Waterfalls.
Day 6 – Yumthang Valley & Return to Gangtok
Visit the Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft), known as the 'Valley of Flowers', located approximately 25 km from Lachung. Stop at the medicinal hot springs on the way back. After lunch, drive to Gangtok for your final overnight stay.
Day 7 – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey.
